Emotional Flashcards Tarot Majors Deck

Description

The Emotional Flashcards deck is an alternative major arcana deck – the images and symbols used are different from the traditional major arcana of the Smith-Waite deck, with new interpretations that I created for each of the standard major arcana cards. I began working on the artwork for this deck during the early months of the global pandemic, as a way to manage some of the big emotions this turbulent event brought about. Once completed I turned these images into a printed tarot deck to make them available for others to use as well.

This 24 card deck includes 22 art cards plus 2 double-sided cards that include brief descriptions of the card images. The cards are printed on heavy-weight smooth card stock with a black core, and measure 3.5″ x 5″. They have a nice sturdy feel in the hands, and the smooth finish means they are easy to shuffle. The deck is held together with a hand-stamped and embellished paper belly band, featuring the crow constellation image from the card back artwork. The cards are stored in a heavy-weight kraft paper envelope that has a string and button closure. The front of the envelope is also hand-stamped and embellished with the crow constellation.

The two double-sided description cards includes a brief description for each of the 22 major arcana tarot cards, as well as information about the glyphs and runes used in the card artwork.
